A cool storage solution for soft fruit supplier

DCS Cold Storage Business is booming at chilled fruit provider DCS Cold Storage, which has significantly increased its trade since moving its operations inside two bespoke temporary buildings supplied by Spaciotempo. The company, based in Ashford, Kent, sells fruits such as grapes, pineapples and bananas to a host of leading supermarkets and earlier this year hired two of our Neivalu buildings to support its growth plans.

Not only do the five metre-tall buildings feature portal beams to create an unobstructed L-shaped space measuring 1,200sqm, they are constructed using insulated UPVC sandwich wall panels and a thermo-inflated roof to support a chilled environment.
In fact this is so successful that the company is able to satisfy customers’ stringent demands for keeping different fruit at different temperatures at various locations within the building - and all at a fraction of the cost of erecting a purpose-built facility from scratch.

Temporary storage building helps Yusen Logistics’ cross docking facility

With around 250,000 sq m of warehousing around the country – enough to cover around 35 football pitches – Yusen Logistics (UK) has a lot of storage space at its disposal.

Yet in its drive to build flexibility into its operations, it has added to its vast warehouse capacity with a 10m by 15m temporary building from our Neivalu range.

The building, which has been installed at the company’s Northampton depot, will increase Yusen Logistics’ cross docking facility, so that it can prepare incoming goods for prompt shipment elsewhere without receiving them into stock in the main warehouses themselves.

As well as this, temporary industrial buildings are much cheaper than having a permanent building structure built. At Spaciotempo we have a wide range of temporary industrial buildings to suit a variety of industries and applications.

Temporary warehousing

There are many businesses in the world today that need somewhere to store their goods. Many of these companies now opt to hire temporary warehousing structures instead of buying permanent buildings. This can help minimise the cost and can also be more efficient. The reason it can be more efficient is because if the company moves premises then their temporary warehouse building can also be moved with them.
